Frequently Asked Questions

If you cannot find an answer to your question here, please feel free to contact us.

What types of therapy do you offer?

  • Adult Counselling (18+ years)
  • Play Therapy (3-11 years)
  • Child-Parent Relationship Therapy
  • Counselling Supervision

What age groups do you work with?

  • Adults (18+ years)
  • Children aged between 3-11 years old. There are exceptions as not all children (regardless of age) will suit traditional talking therapies due to factors like developmental age, neurodivergence, mutism, etc. Please contact me directly so we can see if play therapy would be best for them.

Are remote therapy sessions available?

Yes, we offer remote sessions for the following only:

  • Adult Counselling
  • Child-Parent Relationship Therapy
  • Counselling Supervision

Play therapy is face-to-face only.

Is therapy confidential?

Sessions are confidential however, there are exceptional circumstances where we would have to break confidentiality and take that information to the appropriate services. Circumstances under which confidentiality would have to be broken include:

  • Acts of terrorism
  • Money Laundering
  • If the client is of significant risk of harm to themselves or to others.

Will you tell me what my child says/ does during the therapy sessions?

The child’s sessions are confidential, which can be challenging as a parent when you would like to know what is happening so you can help and better understand your child. It is important that the child knows sessions are private so they feel more able to express themselves. The parent will be told if the therapist believes the child is at risk of harm to themselves.

In review meetings, the therapist will offer guidance where possible without breaking the confidentiality of the child.
